Menus
File:
This menu is used for opening/saving levels, creating new levels and exit the program.
'Set Liero.exe settings...' makes you able to change settings specific to the current Liero.exe. These settings can
tell PL2edit that certain settings shouldn't be changed because they are essential for the Liero.exe in question.
Palette:
This menu is used for opening/saving/restoring of the palette.
The function 'Make colors unique' tries to make all the colors in the palette unique without affecting the appearence of them in Liero too much.
The function 'Fill pattern from selection' generates a pattern from the selected colors in the same way as Liero generates the Dirt pattern in random levels.
Materials:
This menu is used for opening/saving/restoring of the materials.
Level settings:
This menu contains settings for the level.
Reset respawning rect.:
Resets the rectangle where worms can be spawned to the original setting.
Reset bonus respawning rect.:
Resets the rectangle where bonuses can be spawned to the original setting.
Color animation:
Lets you get, set and reset the four different color animations.
Get anim ##, will move the selection in the palette to animation number ##.
Set anim ##, will set animation number ## to the current selected colors in the palette.
Reset color animations, will reset all the animations to their original settings.
Fatal borders:
Lets you set which borders in the level that are fatal. If a worm touches a fatal border, it will instantly die!
Other level settings:
Lets you set the other level settings. Currently, there is only two settings here.
Background textures
This menu lets you change the background textures that Liero uses when destroying dirt.
Use background textures:
If this is checked, PL2edit will activate the background textures. If it is not checked, Liero will use the regular random background textures.
Set back. texture ##:
This resizes the current selected pattern to 16x16, maps it 'Background'+'Recv. shadow' colors and sets it as background texture number ##.
Set both back. textures:
This resizes the current selected pattern to 16x16, maps it 'Background'+'Recv. shadow' colors and sets it as both background texture 1 and 2.
Fill with back. texture ##:
This fills the level with background texture number ##. You can select which colors that should be drawn over in the 'Tool settings' dialog.
Level view
With this menu you can change the way the level is shown.
Show normal:
Shows the level as usual.
Show selected colors:
Shows the colors in the level which are selected in the palette white and all other colors black.
Show ##material##:
Shows the colors in the level which have ##material## set white and all other colors black.
