Creating your own patterns, masks and objects
It's simple to create your own patterns, masks and objects. Simply create a bitmap and put it in the 'Patterns', 'Masks' or 'Objects' folder.
Remember that the width of the bitmap should be even otherwise they may not work on some systems.
When you create Objects you can use the color R:255, G:63, B:127 (FF3F7F in hex) to represent transparent pixels.
Draw on color if... and Map to color if...
Draw on color if...
The six checkboxes is used to set which properties a color must have if PL2edit should be able to draw other colors above it.
A grayed checkmark on for example 'Dirt' means that it doesn't matter if the color has the dirt setting on. On the other hand,
if the 'Dirt' checkbox is checked, the color must have the dirt setting on to be able to be drawn over. If the checkbox is cleared,
the dirt property mustn't be set to be able to draw over it.
Map to color if...
These checkboxes works the same as the 'Draw on color if...' checkboxes. The difference is that these checkboxes decides which colors
the patterns and objects can use. If you for example put a checkmark in the 'Rock' checkbox, all the objects and patterns you draw will
only use colors with the 'Rock' settings turned on.
Note: Remember that objects and patterns aren't guaranteered to have a certain material. You should always use the 'Map to color if...' checkboxes
to get the material you want.
